Here is an update for all those interested in the Hanley Castle community broadband project. This scheme covers Hanley Castle/GilbertsEnd, Brotheridge Green and north as far as the Rhydd. A few houses in Hanley Swan are included but most will fall into a different scheme or possibly already have the decent broadband service that Hanley Castle so sorely needs. Continue reading
Community Defibrillator

There are over 100,000 deaths per year from cardiac arrest. In response to this, many communities have had defibrillators made available by the NHS in conjunction with the West Midlands Ambulance service. Our community is lucky to have one of these easy-to-use units at Albion Lodge Retirement Home, Roberts End, Hanley Swan. Continue reading
