WHAT   :- The Big Pit, the National Coal Museum

WHERE :- Blaenavon, South Wales

WHEN  :- Tuesday 21st October

HOW   :- Coach from Bromsgrove 8.50am, from Worcester 9.30am

COST  :- £12 members, £14 non-members

This is an opportunity to find out what coal mining was really about, and includes a trip 300ft. underground with a real miner, a multimedia tour of a modern coal mine, exhibitions in the Pithead baths (and singing courtesy of Tom Jones!) and historic buildings. This is an attraction that appeals to all ages and both sexes.

You will need to have a basic level of mobility and wear sensible shoes. Bring a packed lunch or enjoy a meal in the miners’ canteen. Contact Sheila Andrews if you are interested in joining this trip.
