AGM & talk by Tom Froggatt on the Marcher Apple Project to restore old varieties of apples. The following day he will have a stand at the Three Counties’ Autumn Show.  Village Hall, 7.30 pm.

22nd November 2013

The story of Defford during the war and beyond by Dennis Williams, former scientist at Qinetic and now finds officer at Worcester Archaeology.  The Defford Heritage Group hopes to restore a wartime hut on the Croome estate.  Village Hall, 7.30 pm.

24th January 2014

The story of the Birmingham ‘Back-to- Backs’ by Liz Baker. A talk about the social history as well as the buildings.  Village Hall, 7.30 pm.

15th February 2014

The launch of Jim Toomey’s last book – an account of the visit to Hanley Castle by the Duke of York in 1409-10.  Village Hall, 2.30pm.

21st March 2014

A talk about the Mercian Staffordshire Hoard by Ray Aspden – both the artefacts and the people who would have buried them.  Village Hall, 7.30 pm.

Refreshments will be served after the talks.

Members free. Visitors £2.50.
