The Tredegar Orpheus Male Voice Choir Concert held at St James’ on 18 September was, as usual, a great success. Our thanks go to David Richardson and his team for organising the concert and to the Choir for the excellence of their performance. A total of £1,300 was raised for St James’.

Replacing the Weekly Newsletter with a monthly one is on track to save £1250 this year, as well as reducing our impact on the environment.  However, a number of people feel that they are missing out on information (even though all events are in the monthly sheet) and are dissatisfied with the arrangement generally. The matter was discussed at the joint PCC meeting in September, and it was agreed that a weekly sheet would be produced for November, but in order to maintain the cost saving it would be distributed by email to most members of the congregation. It will also appear on the St James’ website and the Hanleys website. A small number of copies will be printed and placed in churches for those who are not on email.

Anything you wish to publicise in the newsletter from November onwards should be emailed to Barry Turbutt—email address:

If you are not on email , please deliver to the Vicarage in writing as at present.
