Monday 19 July

When Linda Bedford was ordained four years ago, she became our Curate while she continued training.  Her curacy is coming to an end, and she will now be licensed as an Associate Priest in this Benefice.  The service will be conducted by Bishop David and Archdeacon Roger at St James’ Church at 7.30pm on Monday 19 July, followed by refreshments in Welland Village Hall. Please make this a priority in your diary to support Linda in this exciting new stage in her ministry.

Thank you!:

The weekend of 12 and 13 June  featuring Jazz in the Garden, Cream Teas at the Grange, and Sponsored “Songs of Praise” raised £931.
Thank you to Carol and Howard Hutchings for opening their gardens to us, to John and Margaret Quibell-Smith who joined Carol and Howard in organisation and to all their helpers on the two days.

Money is still coming in for the Hanley Gardeners Market raising the total to £823.
Again thank you to all who assisted raising this total.

Help needed!

Alison Martin is again organising the very successful Children’s Activity Mornings at St James’ on Wednesdays during the school holidays. If you are able to help for one or more of the sessions, please contact Alison (310783)
